This was the 1st campground we went to when we got our travel trailer. The sites are level, fairly shaded, and has growth in between sites that offers privacy. They have a great playground and are close to a wolf preserve and Purdue University.

There are sites right on the river or back in the woods. There are some private sites but most are open and large enough not to feel crowded. There is a covered shelter and a clean bathhouse, but it can be a hike from some of the sites. There was an old pit toilet for emergencies. Only two trailers in the park that night. The rustic cabins are just that, rustic! Campgrounds are scattered all over the park from full RV hookup to tent camping areas with no hookup at all. Wildlife is all around, deer, bear, snakes and all other small creatures. Lower lake is great for viewing the eagle flying around.

Keep dogs on leash and you will be fine. We have been there at least five years in a row, and we love it! Really nice location to bring family together. There was a lot of families there this weekend, however we did not have a problem finding an area to BBQ. You can picnic, walk, swim all day and it was very clean. The pool did a safety check in the afternoon, nice to know they care about the public.
